What personal information we collect
We collect the information we need to open and run your account, keep it secure, meet the duties that apply to us as the holder of a gaming licence and improve the service we offer. Some of it you give us directly, some is created as you use the site, and some comes from the partners who help us confirm identity and process payments.
Account and contact details
- Your full name, date of birth and residential address.
- Your email address and mobile number.
- Your username, password and the security details used to recover access.
- Your contact preferences, including whether you have opted in to marketing.
- The safer gambling settings you apply, such as the deposit limits shown in your account.
Identity and age verification documents
Because we hold a gaming licence, we must confirm that every customer is at least 18 and is who they say they are. To do this we may ask for photo identification, proof of address and proof that the payment method belongs to you. We keep a record of the checks completed and their outcome, along with any documents you upload.
Payment and play records
- Deposits, withdrawals, pending payments and your account balance.
- The payment methods registered to your account, as held in the cashier.
- Stakes, game sessions, results and bonus activity.
- Correspondence about a payment, including any supporting evidence you send us.
Device and usage data
- Your IP address and the approximate location it indicates.
- Device type, operating system, browser and app version.
- Pages visited, games opened, log-in times and session length.
- Cookie and similar identifiers set when you use the site.
Contact with our team
We keep live chat transcripts, emails sent to and from our support address, notes of safer gambling conversations and records of any complaint you raise.
Why we use your information and the legal bases we rely on
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To register your account, log you in and keep it available to you.
- To confirm your age and identity before you deposit, play or withdraw.
- To process deposits and withdrawals and to settle the outcome of your play.
- To detect and prevent fraud, bonus abuse, collusion and money laundering.
- To meet our legal and licence duties, including record-keeping and reporting.
- To support safer gambling: applying the limits you set, handling time-outs and self-exclusion requests, and acting where your activity suggests you may be at risk of harm.
- To answer your questions and look into any complaint you raise.
- To keep the site working, test changes and measure how our games and pages perform.
- To send offers, promotions and news, where you have opted in to receive them.
Under UK data protection law we must have a legal basis for each use. In plain words, we either need your information to give you the service you asked for, we are required by law to hold it, we have a business interest that does not override your rights, or you have given us permission.
| What we use your information for | The legal basis |
|---|---|
| Opening and running your account, processing payments and settling play | Performance of our contract with you |
| Age and identity verification, anti-money laundering checks, record-keeping and reporting | Complying with our legal obligations |
| Preventing fraud and abuse, and keeping accounts and the site secure | Our legitimate interest in protecting customers and the service |
| Safer gambling monitoring and interaction | Our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in player protection |
| Marketing by email, SMS or push message | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is open. After an account is closed, we keep the records that the rules applying to gambling operators and anti-money laundering require us to hold, for the minimum period those rules set. When that period ends we delete the information or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
Some records are kept for longer because deleting them would defeat their purpose:
- Self-exclusion and account closure records, so that an exclusion is honoured and a new account cannot be opened during it.
- Marketing suppression records, so that we do not contact you again after you opt out.
- Records of a complaint or a dispute, for a period after it has been resolved.
- Information we are required to retain because of a legal claim or an authority's request.
Your rights and how to use them
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate or incomplete details corrected.
- Ask us to erase information we no longer have a reason to keep.
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information while a question about it is outstanding.
- Object to uses that rely on our legitimate interests.
- Receive certain information in a portable format, or ask us to send it to another provider.
- Withdraw consent at any time, including consent to marketing.
To use any of these rights, write to support@casinoquinnbet.co.uk or speak to us on live chat and ask for your request to be passed to our privacy team. You can also email privacy@casinoquinnbet.co.uk. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that information is not released to the wrong person, and we will respond within the time allowed by law.
Some rights are limited. We cannot delete records we are required to keep, and we cannot remove a self-exclusion before it has run its course. Where we cannot act on a request in full, we will tell you why.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information
Please contact us first so that we can look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection.
If gambling is causing you difficulty, you can set a deposit limit, take a time-out or self-exclude from within your account, and you can get free, confidential help from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, or block yourself from all licensed online operators through GamStop.
